Coming soon ...

After the disappointment of 2020's trail cancellation due to Covid, we are really excited to be going ahead in 2021.
2021 is  our TENTH anniversary, we plan to compensate for last year’s disappointment by delivering a really COLOURFUL trail!    Think of a famous film, book, tv programme, character, famous saying, song or artist etc. which includes a colour  - perhaps you'll see a Yellow Submarine, Little Red Riding Hood or Barry White!     We are working hard to ensure an event which is *Covid-safe* for all to enjoy following current government guidelines.

WHEN?
This year's trail will run every day during the   May Half Term    week, from   Saturday 29th May to Sunday 6th June 2019.

WHERE?
The trail will start and finish at   Westwood Costcutter Local    (Tynings Way, BA15 2BU). You can purchase your trail maps from the shop for   £3.50    each. The trail route (1.5-2 miles long) will take you on a gentle stroll around the village of Westwood, along a family friendly route. There is a small section that crosses a field, but this can be avoided if you wish. The rest is along footpaths and residential streets.

Parking  is available  at Westwood Social Club (Lower Westwood, BA15 2AP) - approximately 200m from the start of the trail.

HOW?
Follow the map around the village to find the scarecrows. For each scarecrow you find, take a good look and try to identify which colourful film, book, tv programme, character, famous saying, song or artist the scarecrow is depicting.   Write the answer for each scarecrow on the trail map sheet.   Once you've completed the trail, write your contact details on the trail map and return it to the village shop.  We will draw our prizes winners from all entries which have attempted to guess each scarecrow correctly - it's the taking part that counts so don't worry if you don't get every single one right!

WHY?
It's great fun and at the same time will raise valuable funds for our village primary school.
The trail is being organised by and in aid of:    Friends of Westwood School (Westwood with Iford School)
