2019 SCARECROW TRAIL - "Numbers"
Another year, another fantastic scarecrow week!
This year's theme was 'Numbers' with every scarecrow having either a number or numerical reference in the title. Our scarecrow makers didn't disappoint. 32 brilliant scarecrows appeared throughout our beautiful village during the May half term week - families of both the school and nursery, local residents, and children at the school and nursery all made scarecrows. We also had a bonus scarecrow at the New Inn Pub, Westwood and Number 10 Tea Gardens, Avoncliff.
There was something for everyone of all ages - some easy to guess, some more cryptic - which as usual made for a really fun family event. Refreshments were served from Westwood Nursery throughout the bank holiday weekend. We had a Scarecrow Barbeque on Saturday 25 May - a lovely relaxing afternoon in Westwood Park.
Our final total raised was £2,574.50 which will be shared equally between Westwood with Iford School and Westwood Nursery to fund new facilities and resources for the children who attend here.
